Third Post of 2011♥

How's everyone enjoying their new year? Mine's been oddly different. Lately I haven't been eating much at all. Not because I'm trying to go "anorexic", because just the thought of that grosses me out. But because I haven't had an appetite. Of course I force myself to eat everyday, even if it is some celery and peanut butter. This new year has brought much change to me. Including getting out for more exercise. Even though it has snowed the past few days, that hasn't stopped me from getting a walk or two in everyday. Even if it is without taking my dog, due to the pulling and slipping. I haven't had a chance to weigh myself, just because I don't seem to have a scale throughout my entire house, but I have an appointment with my dietition at Kaiser Permanente, and hopefully it will show i've lost a few pounds since my last visit.
I really appreciate all the supporting comments on here. Whenever I'm havin a rough day, or don't feel the motivation, reading those comments help tremendously. It's hard to loose the weight you've always had, no doubt. But it's not impossible. I'm ready for this change, and when you know your ready, that makes more motivation to do it. As for your tip of the week, I guess, keep busy. Whatever your doing, whether it is reading, walking, or something like cleaning, KEEP BUSY. If your busy, you don't have as much time to sit around and eat because your bored. It's a good tip, however, it's much easier said than it is done.

  1. Hey you. Thank you for this blog. I sat down at the PC today disgusted with my self that I put ten pounds back on this fall. I can't afford the Biggest loser club like I did last year so I thought I'd read your Blog then search for a Free Calorie/ Meal tracker assist program. I had prayed to My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for help too. So I read your blogs and in the wonderful comments I saw www.Sparkpeople.com mentioned. What a blessing that is just what I need to get back to business of losing the weight and changing my ways. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR BLOG. DO let us know how your appointment went and where you are at with your progress. I hope school is going well for you too.

  2. Thanks so much for posting. I was worried you'd given up when it was so long between posts! Your tip for keeping busy is great. I find it helps me to keep a food diary; I keep it in Excel because then I can also enter all the food stats from labels. I keep track of calories, fat grams, fiber grams, carbohydrate grams, and protein grams. One place you can do this free is at mypyramid.gov if you don't use
    a spreadsheet program like Excel.

  4. I just discovered your post and absolutely love it! I just finished reading a book titled, "Full: A Life Without Dieting" written by Michael Snyder, M.D., that has given me a lot of hope with my own weight loss goals. I have learned a new concept that I hadn't ever thought of before- portion control! I have been watching my portions more carefully and am surprised that I am eating less, yet I feel satisfied. I am hoping with my newly learned skill of eating less, exercise, as well as great support and tips- such as visiting sites such as yours, I will only succeed!
